The Pittsburgh Steelers won this one on the ground and at the goal line. They ran for 200 yards, Jaylen Warren had 143 of them on 17 carries, and the Cleveland Browns never reached the end zone. Final at Acrisure Stadium: Pittsburgh 27, Cleveland 6.

It also settles a score. Cleveland won the first meeting 27-24 at home. This time Pittsburgh allowed two field goals, and the Steelers have now won four straight to reach 6-2. Cleveland falls to 5-3.

How it was won

Rico Dowdle opened the scoring with a 9-yard run at 7:57 of the first quarter, and Chris Boswell added the extra point for a 7-0 lead.

The second quarter was a kicking exchange until the final minute. Boswell hit from 20 yards at 14:05. Andre Szmyt answered from 32 at 8:43. Boswell made it 13-3 from 37 at 3:27, and Szmyt hit a 49-yarder with 45 seconds left to pull Cleveland within 10.

Those 44 seconds decided the game. Pittsburgh drove and Pat Freiermuth punched in a 1-yard run with one second on the clock. Instead of 13-6 at the half, it was 20-6.

Warren closed the scoring with a 1-yard run at 9:39 of the third quarter. Neither team scored again.

The box score is lopsided where it matters. Cleveland ran for 34 yards, with Quinshon Judkins held to 25 on 11 carries and Dylan Sampson adding 7 on one. Pittsburgh outgained the Browns 361 to 319 in total yards and had 21 first downs to Cleveland's 17.

Deshaun Watson threw for real yardage, 324 on 27 of 39, but no touchdowns. Harold Fannin Jr. caught 10 passes for 154 yards and Sampson caught six for 62. Cleveland went 4 of 13 on third down and turned it over twice. Possession was close to even, 30:15 to 29:45.

Aaron Rodgers did not need much. He went 13 of 25 for 172 yards with no touchdowns and one interception, Pittsburgh's only turnover. Darnell Washington made his three catches count for 94 yards, and Freiermuth caught two for 35. Dowdle added 56 yards on 15 carries to go with his touchdown. Pittsburgh was 4 of 11 on third down.

Against the number

Pittsburgh closed at -3.5, with moneylines of -192 for the Steelers and +160 for the Browns. A 21-point win covered with plenty to spare.

The total closed at 38.5, and 33 points went in, so the under cashed. The second-quarter field goals kept this one under: three of them came in a quarter where the teams combined for only one touchdown, and that one arrived with a second left. After Warren's score in the third, the last 24-plus minutes were scoreless.

What's next

Pittsburgh goes to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, November 15, 2026, on NBC. The Steelers beat Cincinnati 30-27 at home earlier this season, and with Cleveland now two games back in the loss column, a second win over the Bengals would strengthen their position in the division.

Cleveland's next opponent was not in the material we had at deadline. The Browns' schedule and prices will be on their team page. Their problem is clear enough: 34 rushing yards and no touchdowns in 30 minutes of possession will not beat many teams, regardless of how many yards Watson and Fannin pile up.
